Shinedown Illuminates with Soul-Stirring Single "Three Six Five"

Shinedown unveiled their poignant new single, "Three Six Five," captivating fans and critics alike. This release, alongside the energetic "Dance, Kid, Dance," showcases the band's dynamic range and profound songwriting prowess.

"Three Six Five" delves deep into themes of loss and the fleeting nature of time. Co-written by frontman Brent Smith and bassist Eric Bass, the track is a heartfelt reflection on personal tragedies, including the passing of Bass's father, sister-in-law, aunt, and mentor within a two-year span. Bass shared, "We wrote this song called 'Three Six Five' about 365 days, and the hook of the song is 'a lot can happen in a year'. So, the song means a lot to me."

Musically, the song opens with a melodic resonance reminiscent of Def Leppard's "Hysteria," as noted by fans on Reddit. This familiar yet fresh sound serves as a comforting backdrop to the song's introspective lyrics, urging listeners to cherish each moment and honor the memories of lost loved ones.

Produced by Eric Bass at Big Animal Studio in Charleston, South Carolina, "Three Six Five" exemplifies Shinedown's commitment to evolving their sound while staying true to their roots. The band's ability to tackle heavy subjects with sincerity and musical finesse has solidified their place in rock history.

In conjunction with the single's release, Shinedown announced the "Dance, Kid, Dance" tour, set to commence on April 25 in Des Moines, Iowa. This 35-date U.S. tour will feature performances at iconic venues such as New York's Madison Square Garden and Boston's TD Garden. Joining Shinedown on select dates are Beartooth, Bush, and Morgan Wade, promising an unforgettable experience for concertgoers.

"Three Six Five" is a testament to resilience and the human spirit's capacity to find light amidst darkness. As Shinedown continues to push musical boundaries, this single stands as a poignant reminder to embrace life's impermanence and live each day to its fullest.
